I'm interested in what appears to be two sets of underlying grids on the black field -- white lines (chalk-like marks) and blue lines (that appear painted). These fascinate me and I wonder if they are organizing tools. I love how they help anchor bold, flattened shapes found in nature and transform the surface and the canvas or board to be pieces of a larger abstract structure. Of course, I could be all wrong in my interpretation, but I appreciated the chance to comment on your process!
